Evaluating/Approving a Change Note in Singlepoint

Finding your Change Notes that you are the Evaluator/Approver for

When a Change Note has been sent to you for evaluation/approval, you will receive an email with a direct link to the Change Note. If you need to find them on the Singlepoint site, go to the Change Note page and click "My Change Notes (Approval Pending)" on the left side menu. This will display any Change Notes you are on that require evaluation/approval.

Evaluating your Change Note

You can then click on the Change Note to bring up some menu options above it.

Evaluate will take you to the Change Note to review. Change Evaluators and Approvers will allow you to select someone else to evaluate/approve the Change Note instead of you. This is useful if you think you have been added as an Evaluator in error, or if you are going to be unavailable for a period of time and wont have time to check the Change Note.

By right clicking your name you can delete or add new evaluators/approvers.

After you have clicked the Evaluate button, you will then be able to see the Change Note in it's entirety. You can also make some changes to the Change Note if needed. When you are done reviewing the Change Note, you have 3 options at the bottom of the page.

  1. You can "Approve" the Change Note, which will send the Change Note to the next stage. When you do this you will have a chance to leave any comments, as well as indicate if you made any changes
  2. You can "Reject" the Change Note, which will send the Change Note back to the originator. You will need to leave a comment here as to why the Change Note was rejected
  3. You can "Cancel" your evaluation, so you can come back to it later

Comments are only mandatory when a Change Note is changed or rejected. You are welcome to leave comments when approving without changes though!
