Completing Actions in Singlepoint
Finding your actions
When a action has been sent to you for completion, you will receive an email with a direct link to the action. If you need to find them on the Singlepoint site, go to the Change Note page and click "My Actions (Open) on the left side menu. This will display any actions you are the owner of that have not been completed.
Completing your action
You can then click on the Change Note to bring up some menu options above it.
"View" will allow you to view the action, but wont allow you to make any changes to it. "Edit" will allow you to make changes as needed.
When you have found the action you wish to change, click "Edit". This will then load the action page for you
- Parent action - If there was another action that needed to be completed before this one was sent to you, it will be listed here.
- Description - What needs to be done with this action.
- Due Date - When the action is due to be completed. This is set by the system based upon the priority of the Change Note.
- Verification required - This will be ticked if the originator wanted an additional person to check the effectiveness of the action once it has been completed.
- Department - What department the action owner is in
- Responsible user (Action) - The person responsible for completing the action
- Comments (Action) - Any comments from the action owner after completing the action
- Status - The status of the action. The action owner can select whether the action is "Not Started", "In Progress", "Completed (Verification Not Required)" & "Completed (Verification Required)". The action owner can select Verification Required at the point of completing the change note if they want their action checked it is effective.
- Completed date - The date and time the action was completed
- Supporting Documents - Allows you to add files to the action, along with a description of the file
- Comment - Allows you to leave a comment on the action and select who you would like to notify of said comment
When you have completed your action, you can change your status then press the save button into the bottom right.
