Creating a project
From the home page, select
1. Quick Add
2. Project
If you do not see the option to add a Project then you may not have permissions configured to create a project. Please contact [email protected], or contact Kerry or Robb Parris to get this changed.
You will be given the option to Start from scratch, or Use a Template.
3. Select Start from Scratch
4. Give the Project a name
5. Leave the Pickering Group company setting as it is
6. If you want to enter some text to describe the purpose of the Project in more detail, you can do it here.
7. Select Next Step
Adding People to your Project
You will then be able to select
8. Individual users or
9. Teams of people to your project
10. You can also add a Project Owner if required.
The final step is to select a Project Category.
11. Select the dropdown Arrow next to No Category
12. Select the Category you want. We have migrated the existing categories (which were companies) from Basecamp.
There will also be additional categories as we will be using Teamwork for a wider range of projects than Basecamp was used for.
13. Finally click Create Project button.
By default the project opens up into the Task list view.
To Create a message:
14. Select More....
15. Messages
16. Create your first message by clicking on the Create the First Message Button
