Creating a pivot table
Make sure you have a table of data in the qlik app first like so.
If you have multiple tables, it can be hard to know which one is which in Npriting, therefore see the following article to find the ID of the table via developer mode. https://ithelp.pickeringtest.com/m/101640/l/1347568-creating-a-report-in-nprinting
Once you have your table in Qlik, move over to the template in Qlik Nprinting and right click on "Tables" and select "Add Object"
Select the table you want and click ok.
If you don't see any tables in "Tables", go back to your Qlik app.
Go to Sheet > Edit sheet. Click anywhere on the sheet and turn off "Chart suggestions".
In Qlik Nprinting, go to Apps > Connections. Select the connection for your app.
Click "Reload metadata".
Hit the refresh button on your Qlik Nprinting template or log off then log back in. You should now see a table.
Once you have added the table, expand the list by selecting the "+" sign next to the table you've just added.
Drag each individual field over to Excel, this will create a header and data tag for you.
Once you have all your data across into the Excel sheet. Highlight the Header and data tags, select Insert Table. This converts the range into a table.
Make sure you select the "My table has Headers" and click OK.
Now you have a table, you can click "Summaries table as pivot table"
Best practice is to put the pivot table into a new sheet and hide the original table.
When you click OK this will create a pivot table from the table data you created in your previous step.
You can then use this as a standard pivot table and move fields around, do filters etc.
Pro Tip - James Hiles, "Preview the template as an Excel field, shape the data how you want then go back to the template and repeat the steps". This way you don't screw up your template when designing.
