Managers - How to approve or override Reviewers for your staff.

Individual staff members are being asked to select 6 peer reviewers.

Once a staff member has selected their 6 peer reviewers,  you will receive an email asking you to approve these.

1. Clicking on the link in the email will bring up a list of staff who have nominations that need approval

2. Click on the Manage button to approve / override nominations for your individual reports.

Clicking on the Manage button brings up a list of your employee's nominations

3. You can select the Approve button to approve all of the nominations.

4. We are asking Manager's, however, to just approve 3 nominations. To do this select the Override Nominations Button

5. Selecting the Override Button will then bring up the option to Remove individual Reviewers.

6. You also have the option to search for and add Reviewers that you think would be suitable.

When considering the suitability of Peer Reviewers for you employees, things to consider are:

  • Has the reviewer worked closely with your direct report in the last few months?
  • Will the reviewer give constructive feedback, it probably isn't going to be beneficial having close friends giving feedback.
  • Are there reviewers from different departments, or roles, or levels. Having some diversity amongst reviewers will bring different perspectives to the feedback.
  • Are there  reviewers who have a lot of nominations, it may be worth considering reviewers with fewer nominations.

People and Culture do have final override rights, and will be making sure that Reviewer's are not overwhelmed with nominations.
