VPN Settings for Windows 10

1. Go to Control Panel > Network Internet > Network and Sharing Centre  > Click on "Set up a  

new connection or network" 

2. Select "Connect to a workplace" 

3. Select "Use my Internet connection (VPN)"

4. Enter the following: 

 Internet address: 81.145.47.199 

Destination name: Pickering VPN 

Tick "Remember my credentials

5. In Network and Sharing Centre go to "Change adapter settings" 

6. Right click on "Pickering VPN" > Properties

7. In the General tab, verify that the public IP address is 81.145.47.199  

8. In the Options tab, make sure "Remember my credentials" is checked 

9. In the Security tab, select the following options 

 Type of VPN: Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol with IPsec (L2TP/IPSec) 

 Data encryption: Require encryption (disconnect if server declines) 

 Select "Allow these protocols" > Tick "Unencrypted password (PAP)

10. In the Security tab, click "Advanced settings" 

11. Choose "Use preshared key for authentication". Ask IT for the preshared key. Enter the preshared key > Click OK. 

12. Go to Windows 10 Settings > Network & Internet > VPN > Click on Pickering VPN > Advanced options > Edit

13. Check if the settings match the VPN settings that you configured in Control Panel >  (1) Enter your domain username and password >  (2) Click Save
