The Onelogin Browser Extension
What does the Browser Extension do?
Once you have installed the Onelogin Browser Extension - you will see it in your browser - the icon is a white numeral 1 in a black circle
Hovering over the icon will display your status of - whether or not you are logged into Onelogin
When you go to login to a website or app that isn't within Onelogin, the Onelogin ADD APP dialog appears.
If the Add App dialog box doesn't appear - Check that you are logged into Onelogin.
You need to be logged into Onelogin for the Browser Extension to work. Go the https://pickering.onelogin.com to login.
You can dismiss the dialog box by selecting NOT NOW.
You can click the dropdown next to NOT NOW and select the option NEVER ASK ME AGAIN
If you select NEVER ASK ME AGAIN - Onelogin won't ask you for ANY sites. You will need to go into Onelogin and change your settings to re-enable this functionality. Instructions for that are here.
Click SAVE to let Onelogin save your credentials for the app.
If you click SAVE you will have the option to rename the app (1)
You can also Select whether the App is for Pickering or Personal use (2)
Personal Apps are completely private to you and Onelogin can be used as a personal password manager. Pickering staff do not have access to any information about the contents of your Personal area in Onelogin.
If you select Pickering - the app goes into the Pickering App catalogue and IT admins can then decide whether to make the app available to other staff in the company. It will only show in your portal initially.
How can I use the Browser Extension to access Apps and Websites
Clicking on the browser extension will bring up a dropdown menu of all of your configured apps that are stored in Onelogin.
By default Company apps are shown first and Personal apps underneath (1)
You can use the Search function to quickly access an APP - the search will bring up suggestions as you type (2)
