3.2.1.1 General

  1. No symbol shall have a coloured background.
  2. All symbols shall be drawn with discrete small blue lines (Colour Number 229).
  3. Pins shall be 10 points long when the pin number is not shown, i.e. resistors, and shall be at least 15 points when pin numbers are used.
  4. All components shall fit onto a 10 point grid.
  5. All pins shall have a minimum of 10 point separation.
  6. All pins shall be black.
  7. Pin numbers shall not be shown on simple devices.
  8. Symbols shall be centred about the 0, 0 location of the schematic symbol generation window.
  9. All symbol library names shall be in upper case limited to alphanumerical characters.
  10. Symbols shall not contain any footprint detail (this is allocated by the database/spreadsheet).
