3.2.3.3 Legend

  1. Legend outline shall be 8 thou thick and have a 4 thou gap from copper.
  2. ICs shall have the legend within their pins ideally indicating body.
  3. Older style ICs shall have pin 1 indicated by deep notch in legend.
  4. All ICs shall have a dot above the pin 1 pad which shall be a scaled up ‘full-stop’ so that it may be easily moved should it interfere with other components (San-serif 1thou x 20thou for example).
  5. All other component legends shall be the physical outline of the component body.
  6. Components such as resistors with through hole pins shall have the legend inside the pins representing the body and lines representing the legs.
