3.2.2.1 Passive symbols

  • Passive symbol names shall be:
  • RESISTOR
  • RESISTOR CS
  • RES POT
  • RES RF TERM
  • CAPCITOR NP
  • CAPCITOR P
  • C3PIN
  • CL3PIN
  • INDUCTOR
  • Transformer names shall be TX ABC .. Z where:
    • A = primary winding T (or CT for centre tap) plus pin numbers
    • B = secondary winding T (or CT) plus pin numbers
    • C .. Z = optional further secondary windings
  • Resistor networks symbol names shall be RES A B C where:
    • A = grouping e.g. DIL, SIL
    • B = number of resistors e.g. 4X, 6X
    • D = Split or composite e.g. S, C
